Workshop on “Dual education piloting in VET system”

On December 19-20, within the framework of the “MAVETA” project, a workshop on “Dual education piloting in VET system” was organized. The workshop was attended by representatives of VET institutions involved in the “MAVETA” project and experts actively involved in the field.

The aim of the workshop was to present and discuss the Armenian and international experience of the dual approach and the methodology of adaptation in the VET system of Armenia. During the workshop, the participants were divided into 3 groups as by selected professions, thus: Veterinary Specialist, Milk and Dairy Technologist, Farm Manager. During the two-day workshop the importance and ways of the combining the of theoretical and practical training elements of the above-mentioned professions were discussed. VET representatives and private sector discussed also the options of establishing appropriate conditions for the apprentices at the real working place.

The workshop took place in an atmosphere of active discussion and effective working group.

The MAVETA project is funded by a broad coalition of international and local organizations led by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), including the Austrian Development Agency, the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Government of Armenia, the Swiss Church Aid (HEKS/EPER) NGO, Izmirlian Foundation, the Strategic Development Agency (SDA) NGO and Vanand Agro CJSC. The project’s implementing partners are the GIZ and HEKS/EPER with the involvement of SDA and the School of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences at the Bern University of Applied Sciences (HAFL).
