On February 19, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Tourism Committee under the RA Ministry of Economy and Strategic Development Agency NGO within the framework of “Living Landscapes for Market Development in Armenia” project funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and implemented by the Armenian Branch of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF-Armenia) in cooperation with Strategic Development Agency (SDA).
The established cooperation between the structures is aimed at promoting sustainable and inclusive tourism in the project target settlements of Lori, Tavush, Vayots Dzor and Syunik marzes of RA, as well as protecting the ecosystems.
During the signing of the memorandum, the parties expressed their willingness to continue and strengthen effective cooperation and ensure the involvement of experts from both sides to provide professional consultancy and develop sustainable and indigenous tourism experiences in the target rural areas.
