Living Landscapes for Market Development in Armenia: Project Presentation / Meetings in Target Marzes

From July 14-28, 2021, meeting-discussions were organized in target marzes  of Tavush, Lori, Syunik and Vayots Dzor within the framework of the “Living Landscapes for Market Development in Armenia” project, implemented by the WWF Caucasus in Armenia (WWF-Armenia) in partnership with Strategic Development Agency NGO and financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

During the meetings held at the regional administrations, the representatives of the WWF Armenia and SDA NGO presented to the representatives of the regional administrations the “Living Landscapes for Market Development in Armenia” project, the goals and possible directions of its implementation, as well as the planned steps and expected results.

The project aims to improve the incomes of farmers and rural businesses in remote areas and livelihoods of the rural population thanks to better economic and more sustainable use and management of local natural resources.

The regional administrations’ representatives expressed readiness to make efforts to develop and strengthen the cooperation, realizing the importance of the initiative and the scope of the project.

The “Living Landscapes for Market Development in Armenia” project implemented by the WWF Caucasus in Armenia (WWF-Armenia) in partnership with Strategic Development Agency NGO, and financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is a part of a larger regional program “Eco-Corridor Fund for the Caucasus” (ECF), funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the KfW Development Bank.
