Visit to the Goris public schools for professional orientation

On April 10, within the framework of the “Modernizing Vocational Education and Training in Agriculture in Armenia” (MAVETA) project, a career orientation and professional guidance visit was organized in the primary schools No. 2 and No. 3 primary school after Yu. Bakhshyan in Goris Community of Syunik Region.

The visit was held jointly with the MAVETA project partner, Goris State Agricultural Collage after professor Kh. Yeritsyan.

During the visit, Lilit Beglaryan, VET consultant presented the MAVETA project and the advantages of dual education.

Harutyun Tsatryan, a private sector partner, director of “Elola” company, was also present at the visit. He presented the demand for the profession of milk and dairy technologist in the region and the opportunities provided by the educational system with a dual approach.

Mikael Haykuni, specialized in animal health and breeding from Strategic Development Agency NGO spoke about the need to involve young personnel in the field of veterinary medicine and presented the importance of the profession from the point of view of public health protection.

More than 80 pupils were present at the two meetings, and they raised their questions regarding the admission procedure and the duration of training in the presented professions.
