International Veterinary Day was celebrated in Armenia

Since 2019, the International Veterinary Day has been celebrated in Armenia at the state level on the initiative of the RA Food Safety Inspection Body with the financial support of “Strategic Development Agency” NGO. The event took place this year as well, on April 29, within the framework of the conference entitled “Animal Health is Our Health”. It is symbolic that the International Veterinary Day will be commemorated in Armenia on the last Friday of April, based on the amendments made by the Government of the Republic of Armenia to the Law on “Holidays and Remembrance Days of the Republic of Armenia”.

More than 200 invitees were present at the event, including veterinarians, experts from the food safety, health, and education sectors, representatives from local and international organizations, and many other guests.

Greetings, congratulatory messages, and speeches on the veterinary sector, food safety, and one health were delivered during the conference.

The head of FSIB Georgi Avetisyan and RA Deputy Minister of Economy Tigran Gabrielyan handed letters of gratitude to a number of experts in the field for their conscientious work and dedication to the profession.
