IADAAM Turning Vision into Action: Field Visits to Future Demonstration Farms

IADAAM Team Leader Sergiu Botezatu, together with the AEST Vedi team, conducted field visits to potential demonstration farms, assessing their suitability for future project activities.

During the visits, the team also visited the Vedi reservoir’s on-farm network to inspect the installation of state-of-the-art filtration systems, reviewing technical progress. These systems are designed to enhance irrigation efficiency and promote sustainable water management practices.

These visits go beyond routine monitoring: they lay the groundwork for establishing strong demonstration sites that will function as centers of practical learning, peer-to-peer exchange, and innovation. By showcasing modern irrigation technologies, good agricultural practices, and efficient resource use, the demonstration farms will support farmers in making informed decisions, improving productivity, and building more resilient and sustainable farming systems.

The Irrigated Agriculture Development in Ararat and Armavir Marzes (IADAAM) project, financed by the European Union (EU) and implemented with the support of the French Development Agency (Agence Française de Développement), aims to transform irrigated agriculture in Armenia.
