During the visit of Lorenzo Grazioli, Head of Agriculture and Rural Development Department at Agriconsulting Europe S.A. (AESA) to Armenia, an enlarged meeting was held in the Ministry of Economy with the representatives of institutions involved in the implementation of the technical assistance component of the “Irrigated Agriculture Development in Ararat and Armavir Marzes” (IADAAM) project. Within the IADAAM project a technical assistance component is implemented jointly by Agriconsulting Europe S.A, Avenue Consulting Group, Strategic Development Agency NGO and 3R Strategy LLC consortium.
Irrigated Agriculture Development in Ararat and Armavir marzes (IADAAM) project, financed through the European Union (EU) with implementation by the French Development Agency (AFD) is an integrated initiative aimed at transforming irrigated agriculture in Armenia.
During the meeting the discussion was held with a focus on the planned activities and interventions under the IADAAM project, which aims to improve irrigation systems and agricultural practices in the Ararat and Armavir regions. The meeting also covered the establishment of an AESA branch office in Armenia, which will serve as a local hub for project coordination and enhance the effectiveness of technical assistance in the regions.
