The project involved conducting a comprehensive survey and assessment of efficiency and available technologies in slaughterhouses and meat processing sector in Armenia, analysis of the sector’s development potential, suggestions and recommendations for increasing competitiveness in the international market. The study covered livestock production and processing through interviews with more than 400 respondents.

Research on greenhouses sub-sector in RA

Client: Fund for Rural Economic Development of Armenia (FREDA)

The project involved conducting a comprehensive survey and analysis of various aspects of agricultural product farming in greenhouses in 10 marzes of Armenia, analysis of the sector’s development potential and recommendations on its development, raising effectiveness from the perspective of increasing the country competitiveness in the internal and international markets. Survey covered 440 large farms involved in greenhouse operating as well as 20 companies involved in greenhouse construction throughout all marzes of RA and Yerevan city.

Research on fish breeding sub-sector and development perspectives in RA

Client: Fund for Rural Economic Development of Armenia (FREDA)

The project involved conducting a comprehensive survey and analysis of farmed fresh fish production and processing facilities across Armenia, including Yerevan, and in each marz individually. The objective was to assess the current state of the fish breeding sub-sector and identify strategies to enhance its efficiency and competitiveness in international markets.

Primary data was collected from over 140 stakeholders within the farmed fish value chain across all regions of Armenia. These included fish farms, processing factories, exporting and importing companies, retail chain representatives, input suppliers for fish breeding, and industry experts.

The analysis provided insights into the challenges and opportunities in the sector and proposed actionable recommendations for its development.
