Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation’s representatives official visit to Armenia

On February 22-24, 2021 within the framework of “Skills, Knowledge and Intermediation Development” pilot project representatives from Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation visited Armenia. The main purpose of their visit was to meet SDA staff and project partners in person and discuss the current situation and the gaps in tourism and agriculture sectors.

In frames of 3 days official visit, Alexander Gogoberidze, the regional manager for South Caucasus projects and Lea Shllaku, the regional manager for Western Balkans projects had meetings with Mr. Vardan Urutyan, the rector of Armenian National Agrarian University (ANAU); Mr. Artak Simonyan, the head of the State Employment Agency; Mr. Yasha Solomonyan, the president of the Armenian Association of Professional Tourist Guides and some others. They talked about the opportunities and challenges in tourism and agriculture and discussed the planned initiatives in the framework of the collaboration with the “Skills, Knowledge and Intermediation Development” project.

The representatives from Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation mentioned that the meetings were very informative and effective and expressed their gratitude for Armenians great hospitality.
